Momentum

Yesterday morning was great. I made it to the gym, I drank my shake, I felt energetic. I was ready to take on whatever the day would hold. I guess my pre-workout was still pushing me because once it wore off ... ya girl was DONE!
This reminded me of life. Many of us are chasing a dream, accomplishment or goal and that momentum ebbs and flows. We won't always feel the pressure that we need to help us complete next steps; however, we must have the internal push to meet the mark.
This is where we have to start asking ourselves the right questions:
Why am I doing this?
What am I trying to accomplish?
Who will be affected if I quit?
Where will this get me if don't stay committed?
It is in this moment when you must have a discussion with yourself. Sometimes we have to sit down with ourselves and have a personal conversation to reignite that momentum.

For example, when it comes to my fitness, I have to consistently ask myself those questions:
Why am I doing this?
I want to be a healthier & happier version of myself.
What am I trying to accomplish?
Living a long healthy life.
Who will be affected if I quit?
Me, my kids, my kids' kids, my family ... the decision to be healthy affects everyone.
Where will this get me if don't stay committed?
Back a few steps. Starting all over again.
What is the end result if I stay committed?
Health, Confidence, Self-Regulation & Disciple
When I feel my momentum reduce, I must dig deep into my personal reasons for completing the task. I recommend the same for you ... sit back and ask yourself these questions (or your own variation) and get your momentum back.
What are you compelled to accomplish right now?
What is your momentum like in that area?
What questions do you need to reflect on to get your momentum back?

Thank you for reminding me to self check. Why do I continue to get to a place of complacency and wonder why I’m not progressing or why am I going down the same path over and over again. Remembering that in everything there should be a goal; how do I know if I’m progressing in anything without having a goal to reach. Asking the Why, What, Who, Where and I’ll add When (now ); will let me know if I’m moving or running in place going No Where.
