How Disney made me a Lovergirl.

If you're anything like me you grew up watching Disney movies. So, when I say I'm a lover girl I always attribute it back to my Disney days.

The Disney princess always gets the prince. So why wouldn't I be a lover girl to my core. The climax of every Disney movie is wondering if the Prince is going to get the girl.

The classics :

1. Cinderella

2. Beauty & the Beast

3. Sleeping Beauty

4. Snow White

5. Aladdin

6. The Little Mermaid

These other Disney movies also had love stories within them:

• Lion King

• Lady & the Tramp

• Mulan

• Tarzan

• Princess & The Frog

& the list goes on ...

We were encouraged to believe that love is something to obtain. Love is the motivation for a lot of us. Romance is beautiful don't get me wrong but it shouldn't be the purpose of our existence.

Romantic love should be an addition.

For example Gods Love is the Main Course , Self Love is the drink & Romantic Love should be the dessert. You can go with or without dessert but it definitely tops off a great meal. My love to another person should be that, it should be an addition to the love I already have.

I know we've been taught to value marriage, being chosen and romance over balance, intimacy and understanding but it's never to late to learn new ways . I believe if we all did a little self reflection we would find everything we're looking for externally is already inside of us.
